Huntersville, North Carolina Parks & Recreation Guide
Are you looking for the best parks and recreation that Huntersville has to offer? There’s plenty of wide open, natural spaces in the area to enjoy with your family. Check out the Berkshire Hathaway Home Services guide to Huntersville’s best parks and recreational activities.
North Meck Park, as it’s affectionately known, almost has too many fun activities to list. There are trails for cycling and running and little ones have a blast on the park’s two playgrounds. There are plenty of secluded spots for a picnic lunch, and those who can’t get enough basketball will have no trouble finding rivals for friendly games of 1-on-1. Here, you’ll feel like you’re far away from the chaos of city life, but in reality, the park is only a short drive from civilization.
This is a very popular spot for local equestrians, so watch your step on the trail. Of course, the sight of prancing horses more than makes up for the messes they sometimes leave behind. The highly recommended North Carolina Raptor Center is nearby, and is well worth the extra stop.
If you’re looking for outdoor fun, you can’t go wrong with Bradford Park. Here, you’ll find a recently built play area that kids young and old will love. There’s also a challenging disc golf course, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, and picture-perfect walking trails that wind through the woods.
